Preparing Business Card Artwork for Professional Printing
This standard business card is 90 × 55mm on 350gsm card. Choose single- or double-sided printing, quantity, paper finish and lamination from the available product options.
Add 2.5mm Bleed
Extend backgrounds and images beyond the finished trim edge on every side. Bleed prevents small cutting tolerances from leaving an unintended white line.
Keep a 3mm Safe Area
Keep names, phone numbers, logos and other essential content at least 3mm inside the trim line. Avoid thin borders close to the edge.
Check at Actual Size
View or print a proof at 100% before uploading. Text that looks clear while zoomed in may be too small on a finished card.
Recommended File Setup
Upload a print-ready PDF with embedded or outlined fonts and high-resolution images. Use the final 90 × 55mm size plus bleed, and verify that front and back pages have the correct orientation.

Business Card Printing FAQs
What is the finished card size?
The standard finished size is 90mm × 55mm. Artwork with edge-to-edge colour should also include 2.5mm bleed on every side.
Why should I avoid a border near the edge?
Normal trimming movement can make a narrow border appear uneven. A borderless background or generous internal margin gives a more consistent result.
Should I upload PDF, JPG or PNG?
A print-ready PDF is strongly preferred because it preserves page size, vector logos and font handling. JPG or PNG files must be high resolution at final size.
Can you check my artwork?
Contact us before ordering if you are unsure about bleed, safe margins, resolution or front-and-back orientation.
Need an artwork check? Send the PDF before production and include the required quantity and finish.
